Captain William Hardy, a lumberman and civil engineer, founded Hattiesburg in 1882. The area became prosperous and grew with blah blah blah and then blah blah blah-d-blah… it was called Twin Forks then Gordonville and then blah blah blah finally, named after Hattie Hardy: Eventless Hole in the Ground.

Many of us spend our time here taking photos. Whether it be around campus, in the woods, downtown, inside a store... photography helps releive the boredom. So post those wonderful photos, get photography groups together, announce photography showings.

your posts here should include both hattiesburg and photography in some way
-You do not have to post a photo, but the content of your post should have something to do with photography
-photos and info can be of Hattiesburg or the surrounding areas

if you are looking for hattiesburg events try hattiesburgms or mississippirpg

A photo journey has now started on livejournal... and this community is one step of that journey. The goal is to link together photography communities that are specifically for certain areas/cities/states/countries/regions/etc. So join in and share your local photography or start a local photography community of your own. Let's see what it's like in your little part of the universe.
